So I’m seeing a big difference between the Web picklist for artist and the one for Mobile. I assume the one for Mobile is on my android phone. The one on Mobile doesn’t have anything filled in for sort names. Is there some way to update the list on Mobile to match my Web list?
If the name and sortname is the same, then this can happen, but there’s nothing to worry about.
If they are different, then that sounds like a bug.

Can you show me some screenshots from Web/Mobile where it differs?

And also edit one album on the side where the sortname is correct. Then sync, and show me that it’s still wrong with a screenshot?

So after a little research, I found that the artists I was seeing who weren’t sorting correctly i.e.. no sort name so using regular name, are coming from the Track List Artist field in mobile. Web apparently does not include Track List Artists in the Artist List, that’s what’s different.
I much prefer the Web way since in Mobile I have a large number of them to fix from the Track Artist field.
Web uses a flat text for track artists indeed, where mobile throws them into the artist list. Something we should address at some point.
