The price is not above the bar code and the code is shorter than #1A otherwise identical cover.
Do you have any info on how it was distributed?
It came in a bundle from a discount store so unfortunately I don’t know where it was originally distributed. There are some listed on Ebay based on the picture listed but none of them mention it being different than the 1A cover even with the price and different UPC.
I’m thinking it might be the Blank exclusive but with the blank cover torn off but not sure about that
I just made a post about this on Reddit, and a user pointed me to this thread. When you say it was in a bundle from a discount store, was it Ollie’s? That’s where I got mine. To me, the barcode looks like one of the later newsstand variants from before DC stopped doing those in…2017/2018?
I’m more inclined to think it is a Walmart variant (which it wouldn’t surprise me if the Ollie’s packs are made up of overstock).
The barcode resembles a newsstand edition, but the newsstand market ended several years prior (this comic is from 2022). The lack of cover price is telling. The blank overlays are typically printed over the standard A cover – suggesting there should be the standard A barcode and the cover price.
