Hi,
I’ve just restarted my planned rescan of my game collection, adding extra information regarding condition, as well as correcting any mistakes, Mainly focusing on Region, Cover, Title and Edition.
It seems that “Core Region” and PriceChartingID is set to the US version of the game no matter what i do.
Example:
Adding the PAL PS2 game Deadly Skies III
Barcode: 4012927024560
Region: EU (Correct)
Cover: Correct
PriceCharting Link takes me to the PAL version of the game (Correct)
Value CiB: $16.25
Core GameID: 27639 (Checked in Connect later)
I add this game to the collection with “Pre-Fill Game Details” for Region, Platform & Edition blank.
I sync the change to the Cloud
Checking the game in Connect shows:
Core Region: US
PriceCharting ID: 0 (normally this picks up the US ID)
Value: 16.25
Clicking “Refresh Graph” does nothing
I change “Core Region” to “EU” and reclick “Refresh Graph”
Then the graph updates.
My fear is that if i do not manually change this “Core Region” for the games after adding them, then the values will not update in future “Update Value” operations.
Edit:
I did some additional testing.
with a similar scenario as above, except now the pre-filled PriceCharting ID was there, but the wrong US one.
Without clicking “Refresh Graph” or changing “Core Region”, i just changed the value from $4.64 to 4.0 on a random game (LMA Manager 2004). then clicked “Update Value” from the “Game Card” to the right.
No value change detected.
Changed Core region to “EU” → Ok, and then “Update Value”.
Then it detected a value change. And it also sets the correct “Pricecharting ID” automatically.
Please let me know if i’m doing something wrong here. or if there is a small bug when adding EU games
