Until recently, I’ve been using the old Book/Movie/Music Collector apps on a “grandfathered” Windows laptop and the current CLZ Books/Movies/Music mobile apps on my iPhone and iPad.
Recently my elderly laptop died quietly in its sleep and I replaced it with a new MacBook Air. Obviously, I need to install the three Connect applications on the MacBook if I want to work with an actual keyboard instead of an on-screen imitation of one.
My question is, how do I do this at the lowest possible cost? (I’m retired, but not rich.) Do I download and install the individual Connect apps or do I click the Subscribe Now button for each of the combined CLZ/Connect Book/Movie/Music packages?
No need to install anything.
That is the point of web-based software, you do not need to install software on your local computer. You just log in to the Connect website.
My question is, how do I do this at the lowest possible cost?
I recommend to subscribed using our bundles page here:
I bought the Book/Movie/Music Connect subscriptions you suggested, appreciate the discounted cost, and am able to log in, enter new items, and then remove those items.
However, I can’t figure out how get Connect to recognize the thousands of database entries in the CLZ Books/Movies/Music apps that are on my iPhone and iPad. (Once that happens, I am assuming that changes made on any of my three devices would then be made available on the other two, as was the case before the Windows PC failed.)
I did look at Connect’s Import/Export screen. Creating an XML file from my original Collector desktop software is impossible. The Windows PC they were running on died of old age and, by now, has probably been ripped apart by the local electronics recycler.
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
I checked your CLZ Account, but I do not see any Connect subscriptions there.
Did you maybe inadvertently buy the Connect subscriptions using a different email address?
Bill, I see what happened. You now have TWO CLZ accounts. The Connect purchase is linked to a NEW CLZ account. I will reach out to via email with all the details. This can be easily solved. Please reply via the email I have sent you.
I have sent the email to your gmail address and the cox.net address.
