Anyone else noticing 1. The insane jumps (up and down) in IMDb ratings this morning and 2. The IMDb ratings on the app don’t match what’s on the actual website?
Can you show me a couple of examples? Maybe with screenshots?
It will only let me upload one photo per reply so…. Yeah lol. But Chloe, Wolf, Sisters, Dog eat dog, there are literally dozens. Basically every movie that updated this morning
There’s def a glitch. Some movies like The Lady in Blue dropped over a point overnight. Most were small jumps or declines but some were over a full point. But yeah I’ve got a BUNCH of movies where the app score no longer matches the website score.
Sisters shows 6.9 on IMDb, and 6.8 in Core.
Dog Eat Dog is 5.4 on IMDb and 5.3 in Core.
This should update in time (we are a little bit behind on actual live rating, but not far - as we gat daily updates from IMDb on our license with them.
Chloe is a bit strange, it shows the right number on the details panel for me. What does it show for you? We’re investigating this too.
Wolf shows 5.1 on IMDb and we have it at 5.7. That is weird indeed. I’m investigating.
The Lady in Blue dropping is also weird. It’s currently showing 4.6 on IMDb, which I think it should’ve stayed at.
Perhaps they had some issues on IMDb a day ago, and we just got the “wrong” numbers, and we’ll get good numbers again in a day or so.
We’re investigating and I’ll be back here with more information as I get it!
Yeah there are a LOT more but I can’t list them all. I’m sure it’s some kind of glitch. Like I said they fall into 2 categories; scores that are off by 0.1 or so. And scores that are WAY off by a full point or more. Hopefully it resolves soon, it’s not the end of the world, just wanted you guys to know.
We’ve updated the ratins through IMDb again and it seems they’re slowly getting back to correct ones. Can you give it a go?
Yes it looks like they are going back to normal. Thank you for looking into this. As always, great work, the best customer service and the best dvd catalog software avail anywhere in my opinion.
I ran my whole collection 3500+ movies and only saw 20ish that moved up or down. About what I’d expect.
