Reading History Fields available as Columns

Can the Start Reading date and End Reading date be available as columns?

We currently have opted against that, as a single book can have multiple start/end dates, we could opt to just choose the “start date” column for the most “recent start date” (the one closest to “today’s date” if you have multiple - but I’m not sure if that is always logical.

Same for end date.

This could mean that if you have 1 book with 2 read events:

Read event 1: Finished:
start: 1 march,
end: 2 march

Read event 2: Finished:
start: 2 march
end: 3 march

What would the start date column in list show?
What would the end date column in list show?
(asking what you would expect in this case, maybe we can figure something out)

You have last read column that shows the last read end date, should have last read start at least to match.

Hm. But you agree they could show a date from different read events right?

We’ll have to discuss this here, to see what we can do. But I agree we should allow it nonetheless. Thank you for your suggestion

Yes I agree that can happen. Selfishly for me, I only care about the first time I read it

I see.. do you register multiple read events per book? Or just one?

And if you do register multiple, you’d want only the oldest start date to show in the column?
What about the end date? Which one would you expect to see?

I only register 1 read.

Thank you, I see. I just need to find a logical solution for people who register multiple, some with, some without start/end date. And I don’t see a clear path to it now
