When I do a search, it does not show editors. Example: I have a book edited by John Coe; if I search for Coe, the book does not show up in the search results. Is there a way to include that field in searches? I sometimes want to be able to see any books/projects of a particular person. As a workaround, I could list them as author. Just wondering if I am missing something as to why editors don’t show up in search.
The “search” top right is not for Editors (and doesn’t include quite a few fields actually).
If you need to find books by a particular editor I suggest to just switch to Editor folders on the fly (and back to authors when you’re done).
Click the Folder button top left.
Click Credits
Click “Editor”
You now have a list of all editors that have been filled in for books. And a little filterbox below it so you can type “Coe” in there and you can click him and see all his books he editted.
Tip:
The folder system is designed to help you “attack” your database in different ways Quickly. The folder button is also shown prominently on the main screen for quick access. You can even set “favorites” there to switch even more quick!
