Isi there a way, whether be desktop, web, or app, to search a combination of artist, writer, creators, etc? For instance, to find all comics in the collection done by Jim Lee and Chris Claremont?
On desktop you could probably do something via menu Search > Filter and create a filter where you make it filter on 2 artists. But… downside: you do have to use THAT screen to type Jim Lee and on the other row Chris Claremont for it to work.
Every time you want to do that combination, or a different one, it has to be via that screen.
Sorry for the late reply on this one. Didn’t know there was a response.
That function sounds great. However, I tried it and the and/or function doesn’t seem to work correct. Every time I change one field to and/or, it changes for all of them.
I tried your the Lee/Claremont combination and the function doesn’t seem to work.
If you want to use AND and OR in one filter, you need to use brackets/groups:
It can be difficult to do the AND/OR thing indeed. The good news is that it is still possible, it just requires you to do it in a specific way. You have to use shift/click to select multiple items. Here’s what to do:
- Select the first item from the list that you want to group
- Hold shift on your keyboard
- Click on the filter you wish to group, but instead of clicking on the actual filter, click on the gap between the field name and the left edge of the filter screen.
When selected, click the brackets button at the top to GROUP them.
Then you can do an And/Or on that bit particularly.
Does that help?
