I am looking at the Series Foldergroup. I am able to click on the series name and edit the series. Name, Sort Name, Completed, and Hide from Missing Comics.
Is there a way to have a foldergroup (or something) that filters Series to show completed vs not completed? In the Comic Collector desktop software the completed series title was bold font vs the incomplete series were not.
Also is there a way to have a foldergroup (or something) that filters Series to show those series that are Hidden from Missing Comics (yes) vs those that are not (no)?
Check fire, I just found the “Completed” button next to the Series Sort field. One Down.
If Issue sorting can have a “Managed Favorites” capability then why can’t Series sorting have a Managed Favorites? Just thinking. Then we could sort Completed and Hide From Missing these field could be picked from the Personal list of fields. And the UI could save space by eliminate the Completed button. Just spit balling an idea..
I’m sorry to say I’m having trouble understanding what you want here, what your proposed solution is, or what problem it tackles. No offense of course, can you try explaining it again for me?
And I understand you really wish to have some sort of way to view quickly view which series are “hidden from missing comics” - but I don’t feel the main screen is a good place for that. I think the missing comics screen would be a good place for it, and also “Manage Pick Lists”, on the Series tab, to have an extra column “hide from missing yes/no”.
No worries, I kinda get a little lost when writing anyway. So I’m looking for two different sorting (filtering) items. I know the Web UI doesn’t have a true filtering capability with boolean operators but hoping you could help me figure a way to filter in Foldergroups.
First one
I know that the “Show all series” in the Series Panel shows series that are and are not completed. I was trying to figure a way to show “just” the completed or the not completed series. After I submitted the question, I found the button that does this.
Second one
Hide vs Un-Hide. I was looking for a way to determine which series I had chosen to hide from missing comics vice those that were not.
My proposed solution would involve adding the two fields “Completed” and “Hide from Missing Comics” to the Managed Favorites under the Personal in the Series panel. This way the series could be sorted on either of these fields. Also, this would allow the removal of the “Filter Completed Series” button reclaiming the UI space.
