Smaller font causes display issues

March 13th 2022 I reported some bugs with the displaying of information on mobile. Now almost 3 years later they are still not resolved . Response back then:

So now I will report it again, because it is an annoying bug. Example:

You see the format icon, runtime and seen date?

This will happen when you make the text smaller in Android:

I wanted to go for even smaller font size on my phone but then it is even worse:

Then it is completely invisible.

Only because of your app I made a compromise on XS font size instead of XXS. It is half readable but annoying.

This problem is present if you order the list by:
Viewing Date (I use this sorting order as my default)
Edition Release Date
IMDb Number of Votes
Date Added
Date Modified
My Rating
Purchase Date
Purchase Price
Current Value
Storage Device

For me this is the most annoying bug in the application.

The bug is still open in our system, was added 2 years ago. It has a developers note with it that it’s a very difficult one to fix as the entire layout needs to be rewritten. It has to do with the sort order options indeed.

Sorry about that. It’s still on the list it was reproduced, but we haven’t been able to fix it yet.

For me this is the most annoying bug in the application.

Hmmmm I don’t believe you. Kidding. This should be addressed and I’ve pushed our team to take another look next week.

Ok, great to hear it is still on your list. Curious what the new judgment is 2-3 years later. Now you have more knowledge and experience. Maybe it is much easier to fix today compared with 2-3 years ago.

I’m happy to inform you that in the next version we’ll have a fix for this. I’m not yet sure when the new version comes out, but I thought I’d share the news with you. It will also include your edge2edge reported bug (a couple of them will be included).
