Some late strange price increases

There are some abnormally high price increases lately for some issues.

Swamp Thing Vol. 5 #7 has risen to 270$ FMV for a 9.2, due to two recent sales ($399.99 - 01/06/25 | 9.2, $269.95 - 01/05/25 | 9.2). Has been going for around 4$ for ages, and i don’t see this as correct. https://covrprice.com/issue/swamp-thing-37/

Hellboy Seed of Destruction #1C (the 25th Anniversary Hellboy Day 2019 version) has risen to 80$ for a 9.2 due to one recent sale ($80.00 - 12/19/24 | 9.4). This has been going for around 7$ so again, doesn’t look right. https://covrprice.com/issue/hellboy-seed-of-destruction-1-hellboy-day-2019/

Action Comics Vol.1 #892A has risen to $60 for a 9.2 due to a recent sale of $59.99 - 12/26/24 | 9.0. This has been going for around 4$ at best, so worth looking into. https://covrprice.com/issue/action-comics-892-regular-direct-cover-variant/

Green Lantern Vol. 3 #89A has risen to $46 for a 9.2 due to a recent sale of $46.00 - 12/29/24 | 9.0. This has been going for around 3$ at best, so worth looking into. https://covrprice.com/issue/green-lantern-89/

The Power of Shazam #17 has risen to $35 for a 9.2 due to a recent sale of $34.99 - 01/06/25 | 9.4. This has been going for around 3$ at best, so worth looking into. https://covrprice.com/issue/the-power-of-shazam-17/

Happy to take a look. It will be a lot easier if you provide issue years or even better, links to the books on CovrPrice. Series like Swamp Thing, Action Comics, Green Lantern, etc. have a lot of similarly named series and the volume numbers don’t always translate across platforms. Thanks!

On the Hellboy, that was a regular cover edition that, because of how it was titled, found its way into the Anniversary edition. Sale has been moved.

On the Swamp Thing the seller didn’t put a year and didn’t call it by the common phrasing “Saga of Swamp Thing” or something to that effect, so the sales matched to the 2011 series. Sales have been moved.

Had a 1:25 variant slip into the regular. Sale has been moved.

The way this one was listed the sale attached to the 1990 series. Moved sale and added a few updates to algorithm to help prevent such matches.

That was a DCU logo edition sale. We didn’t have that specific variant so it matched the sale to the regular cover. Have since added the variant and moved the sale.
