Sort on date

I use the desktop version of Music Collectorz . I sort my collection by artist display name. How do I get the albums to sort by release date within the artist folder?

You mention “within the artist folder” so I’m thinking you are “foldergrouping” by artist.

Folders: grouping albums by a certain field
Sorting: the order, from top to bottom, in which albums are displayed.

I recommend keeping your View > Folders on Artist.

Then click menu View > Sort Order > Manage Sort Favorites

Create a new favorite
Make it go by “Release Date” and Release Date only.

Now it should sort albums by release date within your artist folders.

Thanks so much for the quick response and clear instruction. I have been a customer of this (desktop) product for many, many years. Hopefully the desktop version of the application never goes away.
