Today I noticed what’s in the Sort Title field is now what is listed in the Title field for alphabetical sorts, so a film like A BITTERSWEET LIFE will now file under the “A’s” but will just be listed as “Bittersweet Life.” Films beginning with “The” now showing without the “The” appearing. For example, the movie THE TRAIN now only is listed as “TRAIN” because that’s all that’s in the sort title field box.

What’s happened? I haven’t changed anything or installed any updates. I’ve used this software to catalog my Blu-rays for over a year without issue until now.

Has some file been corrupted?

Could it be you accidentally switched on “Show Sort Titles” in your settings?

Tap the menu top left, then tap Settings.
Now scroll down and look for "Show Sort Titles and then switch it OFF.

Now go back to your list see if that’s better?

Or do you actually see when you edit a movie that the “sort title” is occupying the “title field” ?

Unchecking the sort title boxes in settings did the trick, many thanks!

What is odd, I’ve never gone into settings before and checked those boxes to begin with, so I’m not sure why this started happening suddenly. Odd.
