I have a question about how movies are sorted in Movie Connect. I have a very large collection and sort my films by Modified Date so I can focus on what’s new. In my old Movie Collector and now in the iOS apps for iPhone and iPad, it works perfectly: any time I add or edit a film, that film rises to the top of the list in the order each title was modified.
But not in Movie Connect. There,the sort feature only “sorta” works! I’m looking at the first film in my list which shows it was modified on Aug. 28, the next film is Aug. 27, then 28, 27, 28, 26, 27, 26, and on and on it goes.
The problem arose yesterday when I added 7 films. I wanted them at the top of my list so I could see them together and try to watch them one after another. But they wouldn’t sort one after the other (I didn’t care which exactly came first on the same day). Two of the films sorted themselves on different days than the other 5.
If I add or modify 10 films at the same time, I want them all to be at the top of my list but it seems to be unpredictable and uncorrectable.
So I changed it to Modified Date/Time and it made no difference. I’m attaching a screenshot which shows films are listed mostly by modified date, but many aren’t.
