We do not add plots due to copyright issues. You are of course free to use whatever plot you want in your local database.
OK, then where do the plots come from that are already there, in the database? CLZ is, and indeed even this section of Trek comics is, filled with plots.
Please believe me that I’m not trying to be difficult, but could you look into this further with your team.
My understanding is that the direct transcript is copyrightable, but not the idea. That’s why book reviews and movie reviews are able to briefly describe the plot without falling under the law. A plot outline is a brief description of what’s taking place without copying what the publisher exactly wrote.
And that’s what I’m trying to do here. I love this site and in regards to Trek comics, I’m just trying to fill in or make corrections to the blanks.

In short it comes down to this that we can’t use any plot that has been used anywhere before or on any site earlier.
