What is the best way to submit updated information on an existing comic that is missing info, such as its covers, plot info, creators, etc ??
I added missing info I had to StarBlazer issues 90 and 91 pocket sized magazines from UK published in 1983. I used the Submit to Core function using web software.
If you have cover issues that the comic series exists in the core, can you select an existing issue, unlink it and edit it for the correct cover, change (or add) cover artist info and add additional information to comic. Also change the Variant and Variant Description information) And then use the Submit to Core function. Will this issue be added to Core for others usage.
I thought I read you should only report current missing issues via ClubCLZ portal.
If there is FAQ, that clarifies my questions, I apologize for not reading it.

I don’t know why you would come to this conclusion. With our software you can submit missing comics ánd you can submit corrections to our Core entries.
What you described, with the unlinking, isn’t the correct way to make an correction though. It is really as simple as edit your issue and then choose the Action tab and click Submit to Core
I am very disappointed with CLZ and their lack of support for adding missing issues that are not “from the big publishers in the last three months.”
Their own instructions on the web site for using the “submit to core” function state clearly it should not be used to add issues and yet that is how they direct us to proceed - you would think the least they could do is provide updated instructions.
Instead they just keep blocking my posts on the Facebook group asking for help. It is really disappointing as I have been a paying subscriber for years and feel like I am being punished because they’ve grown their user base and no longer have time to do the things they used to do - like add missing back issues. If they do not provide an easy and accurate way for users to report missing variants or add them themselves soon then I will have to stop subscribing. I am no longer recommending the app as apparently they are no longer able to offer full coverage of comic books - it is simply “too much work for their team.”
You are right, the instructions in the manual are outdated. Sorry about that. I have no idea why it says that Submit to Core is not for missing variants.
Blocking your FB posts? Your posts on FB yesterday got a LOT of traction and responses!

It was YOU who was missing in action there. You just dropped the bomb and left?

What makes you think we are not adding missing back issues. The only thing that changed is that we are asking you to report them in a different way, using the Submit to Core system. Just so that we can process them more efficiently.
Okay, sounds like we will have to change our ways again.
In our defense, we REALLY made this change to make adding missing comics MORE efficient. So that we could add missing comics FASTER and help users BETTER.
Guess we were wrong… Back to the drawing board.
News about this coming up later today!
