“The database is different from the one in CLZ cloud”
The help files (Error: Different database than the one in CLZ Cloud) tell me to clear online database, which i did. I then started the sync process from the new computer. With over 28,000 files i needed to stop for the night and restart again the next day. The next day i received the same error again. Any suggestions?
Thanks D
PS - on another note, is there a way to get music collector to recognize flac cover images? I have to add them manually. Thanks again.
@dss , that kinda sounds like when you close and open the program it picks a different database file.
Is your database file named weirdly? Like “backup of backup of backup” or something?
I recommend the following:
Download the latest version of the software again from your CLZ Account page and be sure to save the installer. Download it here: https://my.clz.com
Right click on the downloaded installer, and select ‘Run as Administrator’
This will install the program with Administrative rights
Now launch the program with admin rights (right click > run as administrator)
Now open your database file (it might already be open) and use FILE > SAVE DATABASE AS and save it with a NEW NAME in DOCUMENTS > MUSIC COLLECTOR. It is important to give it a NEW name which you will recognize
Now close the program.
Now restart the program. Look at the TOP of the program: does it say that new name from step 4?
If it does, you can do the sync again (clear cloud, then sync from desktop to cloud).
Hello and thank you CLZ_AJ for your help. I followed your instructions. Renamed my database from “MusicLibrary.muc” to “Music Library.muc”. That seemed to work. I started an upload, then stopped. Closed collector, reopened it and started another upload…working fine. Thanks again, d
PS - as for my second question, i think it might be best to start another thread?
