Things going wrong

My collectorz isn’t displaying correctly. The books aren’t displaying in proper numerical order (1,2 ,3,4…) some books are showing as “owned” but aren’t displaying at all. Finally whenever I enter a new book or make a change this window now pops up. A little help please. I just want things back the way they were.

I’ve moved your topic to Comic Collector forum as this looks like Comic Collector, not CLZ Comics Web.

Bad sorting:

  • Click menu View > Sort Order > Manage Sort Favorites.
  • Create a new favorite.
  • Make sure it’s sorting by “Series” field, then “Issue No.”

Books are missing?

That sounds like some kind of search or filter is active in your software.

Open the quick filter panel, top left. It has a red exclamation mark on the button probably, as it is active. The red icon indicates that the filter is active.

You can either:

  • Click “Reset Filters” at the bottom.
  • Or uncheck “Keep Active” and hide the quick filter panel.

If that’s not it can you check if you have a collection status filter active via menu Search > In Collection Status > ALL

And if that’s not it, check the bottom bar of your program, does it say a filter is on?

Save Collection popup keeps coming back?

As for the “Save Collection” popping up every time, it seems something is going wrong with saving the database. Did you move between computers? go to a new computer? This kind of stuff is crucial information when helping users on the old Windows software as that can break stuff.

It could be that the program needs to be “started as an admin” so it can actually save where it’s supposed to.

Is there any chance at all you would be willing to move to our web-app, so that you don’t have all these problems on the old Windows version anymore, that are likely caused by rights/system stuff?
It would make it all a lot easier :slight_smile:

The “save collection” window is still happening. No, I have not changed or moved to a new computer. What is the advantage/change in moving to the web-app??

For the save problem you could try this: install as admin and open as admin.
To do that:

Download your Collectorz software again from your CLZ Account page.

  • Login here: https://my.clz.com/

  • Click the download button for your platform and download the version you’re entitled to, save it to your computer (do not run the installer).

Right click on the downloaded installer, and select ‘Run as Administrator’.

This will install the program with Administrative rights.

Now launch the program (right click the shortcut, and click to start/run as administrator) and see if the problem has been resolved!
