Tiny annoyances

Cleaning up my collection, I do a lot of repetitive task and then little things start to annoy me:

  1. When managing pick lists (in this case Musicians), after having changed the default instrument for a musician, the ‘focus’ doesn’t stay on that musician but jumps back quite a bit on the list. That’s rather annoying, as I then have to scroll down to where I was in the list.

  2. When in edit mode, adding instruments to musicians, after hitting TAB, I have to click in the field to start adding another one. One mouse click too many. (I sometimes use this method for short-letter instruments instead of going to the pick list).

I hope these are ‘easy fixes’. Much appreciated.

Ok I’ve taken note. Thank you.

When you hit tab, it goes to the “plus” icon for that musician’s instrument field, then the “remove” icon for the next musician and THEN into the typing box for the instrument of the next musician.

So, when you’re typing instruments, hit tab 3 times to go to the next instrument type box!

Okay, so now I have to weigh three tabs against one extra mouse click. It’s not a big problem, really.

Otherwise the tab order would become very weird, if you’re not able to tab to the remove/add buttons. Right @twazerty ?

You’re probably a lot faster if you:

  • type an instrument
  • hit tab 3 times
  • type next instrument for next musician

At least, I’m a lot faster if I do that, than to move my hand away from keyboard, onto mouse, click in field, then type.

@CLZ_AJ , totally agree with your explanation.

With your keyboard you should always be able to reach all buttons in a logical flow. Then it is usable for everybody.
