I love Christmas and Christmas music. What is on your playlist this season? Anything new you’ve discovered, or does tradition harken you back to Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Vince Guaraldi Trio, or Bing/Frank/Dean/Andy/Burl?
I’ll kick it off. First, a brand new favorite:
“A Choral Christmas” - VOCES8, VOCES8 Foundation Choir & Orchestra, Barnaby Smith (Conductor). Some inspiring and thrilling arrangements by Taylor Scott Davis as well as a premiere recording of his 5 movement “Magnificat.” Extraordinary voices and orchestra. Decca 5592308.
A couple of oldies that I pulled out of the vinyl collection to share with my music-obsessed daughter this year:

Jimmy Fallon’s “Holiday Seasonings” - Serving up some nice tunes along with cheesy humor. Republic 602475253181.
“The Gift of Love” by Jennifer Hudson. THIS will become a timeless classic for holiday seasons to come. Interscope 7507228.
