Titles that switched publishers?

Is there a general philosophy on how titles that switched publishers yet retained consistent numbering are handled?

I’ve run across a number of them in the database. Some of them are sperated out into different series by publisher like the GCD does. Others are grouped as a single series with incorrect publisher data on some of the issues.

I see the argument for either approach. Personally I like keeping them together in a single series and updating the publisher field as appropriate.

For example, I collect Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories. It would be a pain for me to have it separated into a half dozen different series in the database.

But, sometimes I like to see what issues I have/need according to the publisher.

I guess I’m asking if you want people to request updates to the publisher field in these instances?

Not specifically. We’ve learned from experience it depends on the situation.

You’re always free to let us know if the publisher’s information is incorrect. We then will try for the most logical solution.
