Update Values when selecting multiple items

When I select multiple items and the blue title bar appears, there is an “update values” button on the bar. When I click on this button, nothing seems to happen. I’ve tried just selecting one item, and many many items. No matter how many I select, the “update values” button doesn’t seem to change anything.

Let me know if I’m missing something.

Looking at your collection I’m seeing that for most of your books you have a “my value” filled in. This overwrites the value that can possibly come from Core.

I’ve just changed your view to LIST view and added the Value column. You can see the person icon indicating these books have a “my value” filled in:

So using

  • Update Values from the menu
  • Selecting a couple books, then use Update Values
  • Or just updating one value for a book

will not “show” the Updated Values screen for books that have a “My Value” filled in.

You can remove the My Value data if you want by editing the book, go to the Value tab, and remove the My Value field.

Or you can checkbox all books, then from the Action menu click “Edit” - then only select the My Value field. Then leave it empty and save it.

Then the value from Core will be used.
