[Updated] The *New* Godfather Part 3

Hello again

So, we all know “The Godfather” movies right? well, the talented Mario Puzo made a re-release of part three of the godfather. Technically it’s a new movie since not only was there a few changes in the movie but the end it different too.

The re-release full title is this:
“Mario Puzo’s the Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone” it has this barcode: 5053083226381

The core recognizes that barcode as “The Godfather: part 3” which is not correct because the barcode for the ‘normal’ “The Godfather: part 3”
is this one: 5051368209135

Does the new ending & remix make this version any better?

This is a tricky question to answer because it is subjective. Godfather 1&2 was and still remains some of the greatest filmmaking I’ve seen, part 3 fell short of the very high bar set by its predecessors.

Without giving away any spoilers, what Puzo did with the “Coda” version was to cut certain scenes that were deemed ‘slow’ and rearranged certain scenes and gave it a very different ending.

Should I Watch it, Will I Like It?

I have this to say; if you enjoyed the original version of the third film then keep those memories and go watch something else which is great like 12 Angry Men -if, on the other hand you found the original version of Godfather:Part III disappointing compared to its the first two offerings, then you will find Mario Puzo’s The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone version much, much better. (IMHO)
