I have 600+ DVDs and 1300+ digital movies on a NAS with some title overlap. Do you recommend using separate collections for each or combining them into a single collection using Format to track each. Thanks.
Depends on your usage. Do you ever have the need to “do a search” and make it search on both digital and physical collections?
to see if you have a movie" - but you don’t care if it’s in either the digital or physical collection?
Then you’d be better off with 1 collection, and indeed using FORMAT to separate them!
I would recommend starting with 1 collection first, and using Folders > Format to separate them, and see if you like it. You can always split them up into multiple collections later still!
