Watch History vs. Seen

In the latest update, in the Personal tab, “Seen” has been changed to “Watch History”. Is there a way that can be split out? I have nothing against collectors who wish to keep track of every time and date they have watched a title, however I just want to keep track of whether I’ve seen it or not. The “Watch History” only gives you a calendar to pick a date from, and just clicking on the space chooses the current date. Can there still be a simple “Seen It” check box, with the option to add dates or multiple watches? Not the biggest deal-breaker, but I liked the old simplicity.

It still kinda works like that. You can just add a new watch history and even clear out the date it automatically provides.

You can group by Watched (click the folder button top left then group by Watched) and you will get simple yes/no.

I have put in a feature request to allow disabling this, that way you just click that little PLUS button in the Edit screen and boom, the movie is “Watched”.

We now added a Setting (menu top left, then Settings) under “Behaviour” where you can disable to set a Watch Date when clicking the “plus” in Watch History to add a watch history line.

With “1 Watch History” line, the movie is just “watched”!

Thank you so much for adding this behaviour option!

Sorry to go back to this, but with the recent Movies Web update, in the Personal tab, there is a toggle button “Mark as Seen”, which then automatically adds today’s date as the seen date, even though I have the Behaviour option “Set Watch Date when setting a movie to Watched” unchecked. Then I have to erase the date so it simply says Watched in the info pane instead of listing the date. Can you make it so the new “Mark as Seen” button follows the Behaviour setting? Thanks!

Apologies, this was a bug with the new button. We’ve just uploaded a fix, can you give it another go?

Yes, works as it did before. Thank you!
