Watched Date

I have just updated to the latest version.

I have folder tree set up: Watched Year|Watched Month|Watched Date.

The years sort correctly, although I would prefer to sort them with “most recent first”.

The months seem to sort randomly within each year. Similarly the dates seem to be random within each month.

Is this a known issue?

Hm, sorry, editing my post now, it looks correct on my devices, android and ios.

Can you post full size screenshots of what you are seeing which is wrong? (for months and dates please)

And as for these sorting by most recent, we’ve had that request on the list - right now you can only do it easy like so: in your MAIN list with all movies, tap the AZ sort button, then sort by watch date most recent first.

Thanks for the sorting tip. Here are a couple of screen shots.

Hi! Your in-month dates sort by the first digit. If you make your date format mm/dd/yyyy, making sure 1-9 have a leading zero, it’ll sort correctly.

Thanks. That may be correct, but I am in the UK. The system is set up for dd/mm/yyyy. The International date format is yyyy/mm/dd, which is acceptable to me. The format you specify is the USA format, which I would never use.

Also, I don’t enter the date, I use the calendar picker, from within the mobile app.

The date setting should be as your phone sets it. I apologize for assuming your location based on date since your screenshot shows October 11, 2025.

Just checked on another device, which I had not updated. This was a version that had only one viewing date.

Before the update, everything worked perfectly, ie Years showed most recent (2025) first, and months and days were in the correct order.

After applying the update, everything was messed up, as described above.

So this is not a device-specific problem.

I am running on Android v15, using UK date settings.

I’ve also checked in the Cloud version. This works as expected. So the bug only exists in the Android version.

As voicerboy suggested, in the Android version it seems to be sorting as if the dates are Strings rather than Numbers, eg Sept 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, …, 29, 3, 30, 4,

Any progress on this?

As indicated, this works perfectly in Cloud, but not in either of my Android devices, and it is a permanently reproducible bug on both my devices

I was away for 2 weeks and the topic got a bit lost. Sorry about that.

A bug was found for this in the Android version of the app, and should be fixed now.

Your app may have updated itself already. If it hasn’t updated itself yet, here’s how to force the update:

on Android:

  1. On your device, open the Play Store app.
  2. Search “CLZ” and select your CLZ app.
  3. Tap “Update” to update the app.

Yes it fixes THAT problem, but has created another.

In the Web version, it works on Last Watched Date (which is what I want) but in the Android version it seems to work on Watch History, which is not what I want, and also looks rather strange Selecting Oct 2025 gives Movies from 2022 and 2019, which is when I previously watched them.

The Android version should work exactly the same as the Web version.

I agree.

The Android version has a wrong name, it should just be “Watch Date” as folder title.

And I agree that inside the 2025 (or Oct 2025) folder it should only show dates that are part of 2025, or Oct 2025.

It is a bug, but it’s a tricky one to catch (it works correctly on Web). We’ll look into it. My apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Because this works in the Cloud (viewer) version of the software I decided to test out the Web (subscription) version of the software again. Since this seems to meet all my requirements - though it will be even better if it supports User Defined Fields and some equivalent to the desktop version’s Tools | Maintenance | Transfer Field Data - I have decided to swap my Windows subscription to a Web subscription, so I don’t really need the Android version now, except for use offline.

Thanks for your help on this one.

Awesome, thanks for swapping your subscription. Yes indeed on Web it works right - for Mobile it will take a bit longer to get this fixed - but I won’t get to technical as to why!

User Defined Fields will come  - first on Web (likely end of this year, early next), and later on Mobile (this project will take more time than Web).
