I have a similar problem to Error Message post and will try the solution you have. I am a little nervous as I have a lot of comics in there, many with a lot of customised information which I don’t want to lose.
I also wanted to ask about using a NAS drive. It is private, not connected to the internet, and I am the only one who uses it (so it’s effectively an extended harddrive). Is there anything in this set-up that might be causing the Error Message problem?
Well a NAS can cause troubles especially if at the start up of Comic Collector the files are not reachable (we’ve seen in the past that if Comic Collector is the first program of the day to contact the NAS, it can fail and it will default and create new user folders in your regular Documents > Comic Collector folder, and reset your user folders to there.
But the instructions from that topic, to remove the registry and reinstall are something you can try if you have an Access Violation.
That said, have you ever considered just going to CLZ Comics Web? It might be easier, instead of juggling files and folders and stuff.
